WINTER CREATIVE
Join me for 5 days of winter photography at Abraham Lake and along the Icefields Parkway, where we'll explore frozen landscapes, crystal-clear bubble ice, frozen waterfalls, and everything in between.
Designed as a slower-paced, more thoughtful experience, this workshop gives us the flexibility to spend time where conditions are best without the hassle of changing accommodations every day.
We'll stay together in a comfortable Airbnb home for the entire workshop, with each participant enjoying their own private bedroom while sharing the common living spaces.
All meals, snacks, and transportation are included, and we'll prepare our meals together in the Airbnb kitchen, creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes this workshop about more than just photography.
Small Group
Keeping the group small means you'll receive plenty of one-on-one instruction and have the space to ask questions throughout the workshop. It also allows us to move efficiently between locations and adapt our plans based on weather, ice conditions, and the best photographic opportunities.
Food is included
All meals and snacks are included during the workshop. After we arrive, we'll make a group trip to the grocery store to pick up everything we need for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks for the week. Since we'll be staying together in a shared Airbnb, we'll prepare and enjoy our meals as a group. It's a relaxed way to end each day—sharing stories, reviewing photos, and planning for the next adventure while enjoying a home-cooked meal together. *Food limitations will be accommodated*
All Skill Levels
Whether you're new to photography or have years of experience, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are. I'll provide as much guidance as you need, from camera settings and composition to photographing winter conditions and making the most of the light.
Single Occupancy*
We'll be staying together in a comfortable Airbnb home, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the workshop. While common spaces like the kitchen and living room will be shared, every participant will have their own private bedroom—giving you a quiet place to rest, recharge, and warm up after a day of winter photography. BONUS: there is a fireplace and hot tub!
Transportation included
All transportation during the workshop is included. Once we meet, you can leave the winter driving to me as we travel between Abraham Lake, the Icefields Parkway, and our photography locations. This lets everyone relax, enjoy the scenery, and focus on creating images instead of navigating winter roads.
All Fitness Levels
This workshop is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. Most photography locations are close to the vehicle or require only short walks on snow or packed trails or on ice. We'll take our time at each stop, and there is no pressure to keep up with a fast-paced itinerary.
Some Benefits...
Some things that will set this adventure apart.

Small Group Size
One of the biggest benefits will be the small group size. There are many locations in the Canadian Rockies that have small places to stand that the location simply cannot accommodate larger groups. We will have the freedom to access all these more hidden gem areas because of our extra small group size.

Transportation Included
You are welcome to rent your own vehicle for this adventure, but you can also jump in the vehicle with me and we can chat while we are exploring our beautiful location.
Airport Pickup will be available.

Flexible Itinerary
One of the ways that I like to run my private workshops that I also use for my group sessions is a flexible schedule. The mountains have their own personality when it comes to weather and I have spent the last 15 years understanding it so that we can be in the right place at the right time.
